Village of Bible Hill
The Village of Bible Hill receives its legislative authority and responsibility from the Province of Nova Scotia. The authority is detailed in the Municipal Government Act. The Village is governed by five elected representatives; currently serving the Village are: Chair Tom Burke, Deputy Chair Donna Van Kroonenburg, and Commissioners Lois MacCormick, Sharon McLean, and Dale McLeod. The Village meets the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm in the Bible Hill Office Building at 67 Pictou Road. Time is set aside for members of the public to bring up their concerns, compliments or complaints. In addition the Village has a scheduled Commission in Committee meetings on the preceding Tuesday (open to the public as well). The Village holds its Annual Meeting on the first Monday in June each year. Bylaws Bible Hill is administered by two levels of civic government; the Bylaws of the Village of Bible Hill and the Municipality of the County of Colchester are both in effect.
