Due to the overwhelming success of the series, organizers will be hosting five fun nights of pickleball in late May and throughout the month of June at Douglas Street Recreation Centre, 40 Douglas St.
The sessions will be held on Tuesday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. and are free of charge. However donations would be appreciated to help purchase additional equipment and to assist with related start-up costs for this new-to-the-region sport.
Paddles and balls will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have them. Newcomers are always welcome.
We will have three nets set up, meaning 12 people will be able to play at a time. Depending on the crowd, some waiting may be involved. There is no need to register for these drop-in events.
However, as we move forward, we would like to get your input regarding days of the week and times of the day you would prefer to play pickleball. You can respond to this email with your preferences.
We hope to see you all out on the first night, Tuesday, May 27, from 7 to 9 pm.
