Silencing the Hate: A FREE Community Learning Session

Silencing the Hate: A FREE Community Learning Session

  • Thursday, November 26, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • H. Douglas Boyce Village Hall, 69 Pictou Road, Bible Hill

What does hate look like, and how can we respond when it happens? Join Craig Upshaw from the Canadian Race Relations Foundation and Niki Gillis, EDIA Coordinator for the Town of Truro and Village of Bible Hill, for a free session on recognizing hate and supporting people who experience it.

We’ll discuss what you can do if you experience or witness hate, how to support someone who has been targeted, and ways to keep yourself safe. We’ll also explore why reporting matters and what happens after a report is made to the police. Following the presentation, there will be time for community questions and conversation.

Presented in collaboration with Village of Bible Hill, Town of Truro, Municipality of Colchester and Town of Stewiacke.

Accessible parking and an accessible washroom are available onsite. For accommodation requests, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
